SCHNEIDER PLACE OFFICE BUILDING
la vista, nebraska

Built from the ground up with 32,400 square feet of total space in the Southport East Professional Complex in La Vista, this design uses precast panels with brick texture and sandstone color concrete for its exterior.  On the second floor, occupying 16,000 square feet, is a firm which engineers and manufactures ethanol plants.  Sustainable window design uses plenty of passive solar; reflective shelves on south and west bounce sunlight deeper inside for illumination, reducing the need for artificial light, while reducing the sun’s glare. Strategically placed columns in the flexible floor plan create a corridor in the middle, also saving most of the daylight for workspaces.  The south side also has columns for a central core of bathrooms, stairs and mechanical rooms.
